Police Kill IPOB Fighters Over Gulak’s Murder In Imo

The Imo State Police Command has served justice to the suspected murderers of Ahmed Gulak as they have killed most of them.

SP Bala Elkana, Public Relations Officer, Imo Command, issues a statement as he boldly declared that IPOB had a hand in the incident.

On the account of witnesses and the driver of Gulak’s car, operatives tracked the vehicles used by the perpetrators. The Intelligence Response Team (IRT), Police Mobile Force (PMF) and Tactical Units from the command were deployed to the scene at Obiangwu Junction at Ngorokpala LGA.

The hoodlums on sighting the Police team immediately opened fire on the team and the security operatives fired back. Ten of the criminals died during the gun battle while others were pursued as they escaped.

The statement read: “3 of the Four Vehicles Toyota Sienna, Toyota Hilux and Toyota Camry used by the IPOB/ESN Terrorist for their Operation were demobilized/recovered. 7 of the terrorists with bullet wounds were completely burnt inside the Toyota Sienna and Hilux vehicles that caught fire during the gun battle, The six hoodlums who carried out the killings and four other members of their gang were fatally injured.

“AK 47 Rifles, Pistol, magazines with ninety-two rounds of live ammunition and charms were recovered. The assailants were identified as members of the proscribed IPOB and ESN. The driver who drove late Ahmed Gulak and a co-victim who survived have all identified the dead body of the IPOB/ESN members positively as their attackers and also identified the three vehicles recovered as those used by the attackers.”

Following the furore that has greeted the new vaccine shipped to Ghana to combat the dreaded Covid-19 and the conspiracy theories tying its umbilical cord, Ghanaian filmmaker Joe Wackle has shared his two cents about the trending subject.
